When Benjamin Franklin visited Paris he was enchanted by Mme, Brillon, a skilled musician and salonist. There he heard the most current music, some of it delightful and gallant, some predicting revolution and violent upheaval. Boccherini among many composers dedicated works to her and her library, now housed in Philadelphia, is a treasury of fine music. Works of Boccherini, Schobert, Martini, Davaux and J. C. Bach.

It is with rational optimism but unfettered joy that we announce the return of Four Nations' festival this fall. We have missed our times together, times when we shared our passion for music and our affection for each other. The Ensemble's commitment and your loyalty seemed normal but we now realize that these qualities are exceptional and rich. In September we may still be masked and the buffet table needs to wait, but our delight in making music for you will be in full force.
