Adriane Post, violin

Adriane Post, described as “exquisite” by The New York Times, found her love of chamber music when she formed her first string quartet at age eleven. Concertmaster of the Washington National Cathedral Orchestra and founding member of Diderot String Quartet and ACRONYM Ensemble, she has appeared as soloist with Four Nations Ensemble and Apollo’s Fire, where she is assistant principal, and as concertmaster with Seraphic Fire, NYBI, and for Nicholas McGegan and Jordi Savall with Juilliard 415.

A tenured member of Handel + Haydn Society and regular with Trinity Wall Street Baroque Orchestra, she has performed as a fellow with The English Concert, and with Les Arts Florissants and William Christie at Les Rencontres Musicales en Vendée. Past Festival performances include Spoleto USA, Tanglewood, The BBC Proms and the Carmel Bach Festival. Adriane received her BM from Oberlin Conservatory and her MM from The Juilliard School’s Historical Performance program. She is based in Brooklyn, NY.
